Mississippi First Lady Visits American Red Cross Disaster Field Supply Center
May 7, 2008
Mississippi First Lady Marsha Barbour gets a bird's eye view of the American Red Cross supplies during Preparedness Month. John Tryon, Disaster Field Supply Center manager, hosted Mrs. Barbour along with more than 50 area first responders through the Hattiesburg warehouse. The facility is the largest American Red Cross supply warehouse in the country with nearly one million square feet of supplies housed and ready to roll. Items such as cots, blankets, comfort kits, coolers, tarps, etc. are kept on hand for any disaster in the region.
