Where is your office located?

Our Chapter House is located on Hutchinson Avenue just down the street from Hattiesburg High School. We are open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. What are your normal operating hours?

We are currently open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. However, if you have an emergency and need to contact the American Red Cross, you can call our emergency pager and a staff member will return your call as soon as possible.

What type of classes do you offer to the public and can I view a calendar of scheduled classes?

We currently offer Disaster and Health & Safety Classes to the public. Our disaster classes are free and open to any person interested in learning how to help others. Who is eligible to become a Red Cross Volunteer?

Everyone! We need all the help we can get at all times. We have several different types of volunteers that work with us. From our Disaster Volunteers to our office volunteers who help with our Utility Assistance Program, we rely on each and every one of them to help us keep things running smoothly in our office, out in the field helping others recover from disaster, as well as representing the American Red Cross at public events and festivals. How do I contact the local chapter of the American Red Cross?

You may contact us by phone at 601.582.8151, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. If you have an emergency after normal operating hours or during the weekend, please call (beeper number) to get in touch with a qualified Red Cross staff member or volunteer. Does it cost anything to send a Red Cross message to military personnel?

No. The Armed Forces Emergency Services is a service offered by the American Red Cross free of charge. Please verify that you have all needed information readily available and our Red Cross staff and volunteers are ready to assist you in sending a message to military personnel.
